A cryptic message from the past leads James Bond to Mexico City and Rome, where he meets the beautiful widow of an infamous criminal. After infiltrating a secret meeting, 007 uncovers the existence of the sinister organization SPECTRE. Needing the help of the daughter of an old nemesis, he embarks on a mission to find her. As Bond ventures toward the heart of SPECTRE, he discovers a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks.
Because of my health condition I have come up with a new way to review the movies I watch. Here we go.
Pros:
- Beautifully directed. This is a beautifully directed movie with great shots. Action scenes were nicely done as well.
- Action packed. This movie has more action than its predecessor.
- Amazing locations. New Mexico, Rome, Morocco and other places. This movie also had a nice call back to the older Daniel Craig James Bond movie particularly the villains.
- Great music. Its called 'Writing on the wall'. Check it out. Of course the classic James Bond music were a nice too.
Cons:
- Underused actors. Some of the actors were not given much of a character. No development.
- Weak villain motivation. Its supposed to hit us hard with the revelation but ended making no sense at all. I didn't feel anything for Bond and the villain.
- Over the top action sequence. It was indeed action packed but the action sequence was so like the old James Bond movies. We love some of the gritty and real action that we had in Skyfall.
I had some fun with this movie. This is not as bad as the older ones but certainly not as good as the last one. Great job for the filmmakers. I give this a solid 'B'. Recommended to all. It certainly a better movie than the ones we had in the past few weeks.
