Jupiter Ascending

I had the chance to watch Jupiter Ascending and this my review of the movie. There might be some spoilers, you've been warned!

In a bright and colorful future, a young destitute caretaker played by Mila Kunis gets targeted by a ruthless son of a powerful family that live on a planet in need of a new heir, so she travels with a genetically engineered warrior played by Channing Tatum to the planet in order to stop his tyrant reign

This movie was bad. I will not say anything more of it because it was simply, plainly bad. This movie was confusing. Its actually was not straightly on your face kind of confusing, but those intergalactic terms made it much difficult than it should be. It was kinda messy. The story telling was bizarre but in a bad way. In some ways, this movie was fairly predictable. There were not many characters to be highlighted  but, sadly, I did not give a crap about them even in the end of the movie. The characters was a little under developed. They changed by the end of this movie but their change was insignificant and I can barely see it except for Channing Tatum's character where he literally grow, like physically grow. They (the directors) didn't have much characters to think for but still, they managed to make us not feel any pain or suffering that we should feel for the characters. The special effect was bad. At the earlier part, it was decent then it suddenly felt like it got worse and worse. By the end of the movie, I felt that I was watching a animated movie instead of life action movie.

Of all the crap this movie gave, there was still some credits to be given. The sound effect and the music score was decent and lively. The movie had many action scene and all of it blew me away. From the start till the end, the action scene was great. Channing Tatum was great. I loved those fighting scenes and I was really happy to know that all hope was not gone. Those gravity shoes were badass! Plus Sean Bean was dead by the end of this movie. Yeay for him

In the end, Jupiter Ascending promises a lot of thing but it did not fulfill it. The Wachowskis(director of the Matrix trilogy) is going full-Shamalan because there were a lot of things that should be improvised but they didn't  use the 7 month delay to do so. The action scenes were great and it kinda save the whole movie if you asked me. 2.8 Stars. Recommended for hard core space sci-fi lover and future gravity surfers(we really need to invent those boots)
