Pitch Perfect

I just got the chance to watch this movie and this is my review of it. There will be some spoilers. You've been warned!

After a humiliating command performance at Lincoln Center in front of the president, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has ever won in order to regain their status and right to perform.

As predictable as it was, this movie was still kinda entertaining. Its un-aca-believably catchy and fun. The story was almost the same but the stakes got a little bit higher. The main cause this movie bore me, is the fact that its kind of a direct ripoff of the first one. When a movie is so predictable, it became boring and I really hated that. The camp scene were not as bad as what people say but it was really like a way to bring an old character back. Speaking about character, the characters was also a little bit of a letdown although I thought the actresses was great. I didn't see much character building in all of the character. I don't buy the new kid. She was there and somehow she got a lot of screen time but she doesn't really do anything to make me care. Fat Amy and Beca was pretty much the same and there were less love given to the male groups.

The only great thing was the a capella performances. I really loved the Germans and they really rocked. Their first performance was my favorite as they sang a song from Muse(my favorite band) Sadly, Bella's last performance were more of a gimmicky and nostalgic touch else than rocking us to the edge of our sit which really bugged me. But still, there were some kickass performances throughout the movie and it was fun and very awesome.

Overall, this movie was fun. I watched it for the a capella things and I was not dissapointed although as a movie, this was a letdown because I really loved the first one. There were also some great cameos from some really famous people. Look for all of them. I will give this movie a 'B-'. Recommend to fans and all people who seeks random entertainment.
