Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

I had the chance to watch this movie and this is my review of it. There may be some spoilers ahead! You've been warned.

With the IMF now disbanded and Ethan Hunt out in the cold, a new threat called the Syndicate soon emerges. The Syndicate is a network of highly skilled operatives who are dedicated to establishing a new world order via an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Faced with what may be the most impossible mission yet, Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with Ilsa Faust, a disavowed British agent who may or may not be a member of this deadly rogue nation.

If anyone ever asked you, how do you top Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol? Ask them to watch this movie. This movie packs a wallop! It had great story, great pacing, great action and great characters with top class performances from the actors. What more should we ask? The story was compelling enough to make you focus throughout the movie. Plus the pacing was great. I mean it was all about the timing. This movie has a well balanced amount of drama and action with an added mixture of humor. I had great laughs and I will say that the jokes never felt out of place. There is good directing right there. The action was mind-blowing. This is great with its tension building. So,as the movie went on, the tension rises and with that the action sequences made all of the audience at the edge of their seat. The characters was great. Everyone played an important role and this movie added a layer in the franchise. It has more teamwork, more team efforts than the other Mission Impossible movies and that were shown on how effective the character was. We were invested in them and we want them to succeed no matter what. This also tells that all the actors did a great job giving us a believable and lovable characters.Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and that woman, Rebecca Ferguson. She was absolutely amazing. Such a badass character. The villain was also quite scary and I think he made us all believe that he was what the story want us him to be. Great performance all around.

The problem I have with this movie was that the gadgets were very advance and sometimes things do appear out of nowhere just to save time for the sake of the movie's continuation. I found that rather confusing but I was fine with it. BUt seriously, sometimes the gadgets were there just to serve the plot. Plus this movie does felt like a little bit long. Just a little.

 

In the end, this movie was thrill ride throughout. This movie was a fun and smart movie. I had a blast and this movie sure lives up to the hype. Definitely check this out. Its awesome. I will rate this an A. Highly recommended!
