Suicide Squad and Dr Strange Update

Its been long since I posted any new news. Yesterday I got a very awesome news and I think I should share this with all of you.

Suicide Squad
Warner Brothers has finally announced their cast for the DC's upcoming Suicide Squad.

From the left: Daedshot, Rick Flag, Capt Boomerang, Joker, Harley Quinn, Enchantress

Will Smith (Independence Day, Hancock) : Deadshot

Deadshot is a master marksman who appear almost every single outing of the Suicide Squad comic outing. Not really a big name for DC but made some appearances in several media. Recently in an animated movie called Batman : Assault on Arkham. A  nice movie. You can also see Deadshot in Arrow Season 2.

Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, The Inception) : Rick Flag

Rick Flag is the leader of suicide squad. Like Deadshot, he appeared in many Suicide Squad comic outing. Not very famous. Actually, I never thought they will take Rick Flag but they just did.

Jai Courtney(Terminator Genesys, Die Hard 5) : Capt Boomerang

A very famous Flash villain who is an expert with boomerangs. This Australian was the team comic relief. He is funny but quite deadly. He made an appearance on Arrow season 3 episode 8. Check it out.

Cara Delevingne (Anna Karenina) : Enchantress

Enchantress is a magic master. She was usually the main nemesis for the Justice League Dark. DC will be introducing its Magic side of the movie universe. This can be an awesome way to introduce the long rumored Guiellormo Del Toro's Justice League Dark.

Margot Robbie( The Wolf of Wall Street): Harley Quinn

Quinn was a doctor turned homicidal maniac. Made some appearances in the Suicide Squad's comics. She is madly in love with The Joker and she would do anything to impress him.

Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) : The Joker

The most iconic comic book villain of all time is coming again to the big screen. I think he would not be in the squad but he will be the main villain in this movie. Maybe the Squad have to take him down. Nothing much to say. Just can't wait to see The Joker again.


The squad was under ARGUS and Amanda Waller is their supervising officer. She however is still not cast or maybe the casting is still underway. WB is currently trying to get Oprah Winfrey to play the character. Time will tell.

Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will also appear on the movie. The synopsis ans other cool stuff is not available yet. Just wait and see. Suicide Squad will be opening on 5th August 2016.

Dr Strange

Its official Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be the sorcerer supreme. The actor will play neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions and becomes the next Sorcerer Supreme and primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Marvel Comics vets Stan Lee and Steve Ditko co-created the character in 1963.

Scott Derrickson is directing the film, that will be released Nov. 4, 2016, as part of Marvel’s phase three of superhero movies. Jon Spaihts is writing the script.

P/s: Ryan Reynolds is reprising his role as Deadpool. 

Looks like both Marvel and DC are going ahead with their plan and this casting news is only the beginning! Look forward fol all the future movies!
