Jurassic World

I have watched this movie and this is my review of it. There might be some spoilers ahead. You've been warned!

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires horribly.

This movie suffers from over use of unnecessary subplot. It has thing that we don't want to care. There were some other flaws plot-wise but I think it was needed for the continuation of the story. It has terrible dialogue. It has so many cheesy one-liner and it felt like, sometimes, out of place. The character interaction sometimes seem a bit stale and it got me nowhere. This movie also have an over reliance on CGI. There were some animatronics but all the CGI still looks bad and it took me out of the movie a little bit. The worst part of this movie is that by the end it made me felt like I watched a monster movie instead of a Jurassic Park-ish kinda movie that I really want it to be. This movie failed to capture the awe and wonder of Jurassic Park. I know that the first movie was a great, one-of-a-kind movie but the it got to the point to where it is now because of good story, dialogue and direction that it had. Sadly, Jurassic world have a generic story and bad dialogue and thus making the movie not as good as the first one.

Being said all of that, I actually really enjoyed this movie. The director did a great job. It has great shots. The wonderful shots really manage to capture the looks and the great scenery that this movie can offer. He also did a great job at making us feel the tension of the character when they were in danger. It was thrilling and fun whenever the Indominus Rex (I-Rex) showed up. There were a lot of shots that was taken directly out of the original movie. I felt happy and nostalgic at the same time. The original John William score was epic. I had goosebumps whenever I hear it. Although the dialogue was bad, the characters still managed to capture my intention.  Chriss Pratt was awesome. He was this badass, charismatic Raptor trainer. His Raptor training didn't come out as outlandish as I thought it would be. They( Chris's character and Raptors) had a really great bond and we can see it on screen which is a good thing. The others was good too. Bryce Dallas Howard's character turned out ok. Those kids were ok too, I guess. There were someone that was kinda out of place but we can just ignore them. And lastly, all the dinosaur were amazing. I-Rex looked scary as s*#t. The other dinosaurs was cool. Shortly, this movie really deliver on the dinosaur part and I am really happy about this. There were some great dinosaur scene in the end I really liked it although I thought I saw this kinda scene in the previous movies.

By the end of this movie, you will feel like this is a monster movie instead of a overly-sized lizards movie. It was fun and entertaining but there were a couple of flaws here and there that could actually take you back from our amazement. I rank this as a solid 'B'. I recommend this movie because it was fun and filled with dinosaur. You will have a great time.
